Blacksmithing - Making a Forged Steel Dish
Follow along as I make a forged dish out of 100x10mm steel bar stock. This is more of an art piece than a functional object, a project that popped into my brain one day. A fun process that shows how the forging can create the design elements by itself.

Blacksmithing - Forging Swedish Style Hammers
I make two forging hammers based on the traditional Swedish pattern. The common cross peen and a matching straight peen hammer. For these I use the drift I made earlier to create eyes that match the factory made handles that I have access to. Interested in my new gas forge? Find more info here: www.nordforge.com/en/ Check out my recommended tools/gear: www.amazon.com/shop/torbjornahman If you l...
Blacksmithing - Forging a Hammer Drift (for factory made handles)
In this video I make a hammer drift that is used to drift the eye when you forge a hammer. It's just a tapered oval shape, and you can use any dimension you like, but I make this one to fit two sizes of factory made handles. It involves a lot of grinding to get it right, but in the end it fits like a glove! Check out my recommended tools/gear: www.amazon.com/shop/torbjornahman If you like my vi...
Blacksmithing - The Oil Lamp Experiment!
In this video I forge a pair of oil lamps from a piece of steel pipe. A fun project that involves a bit of metal turning as well as brazing. The end result was a bit unexpected but unique! The inspiration for this video came from a facebook post by Jim Whitson - The Blazing Blacksmith. Check him out here: theblazingblacksmith blazingblacksmith.co.uk/ Check out my recommended tools/...
Blacksmithing - Forging a Scroll Pendant
Watch me forge a scroll pendant! I stumbled upon a facebook post by Reinis Pētersōns, a couple of week ago where he showed something very similar. It was so nice I decided to give it a try myself. Check him out here: reinis.petersons.902 BalticFlames/posts/1097253494149970 I also feature a project book, made by my friend Oliver M. Christensen, @ShapingSilver . You can ...

Blacksmithing - Making glass blowing jacks
In this video I make a pair of glass blowing jacks. It's probably the most used and most versatile tool in the glass blowers tool arsenal. At the same time it's also a super specialized tool. I had great fun making this one and my friends at Bergdalahyttan seemed to like my finished product! They say if you have nothing nice to say that you shouldn't say anything, so i'll try to make this criticism positive. This is the first and only thing i've ever seen you make which i don't adore. I think the exaggerated hammered texture makes this genuine, skillfully created piece of craftsmanship look like it's fake and made of plastic. it seems like something that an affluent banker or lawyer would have on their coffee table, instead of the humble, practical, wholesome, unique and beautiful pieces you have made in the past which made me fall in love with your channel. Please never fall into the trap of making things you think the algorithms will enjoy over the tens of thousands of people who love you for your uniqueness
Formidable bravo👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Viking children are taught this at an early age
Beautiful art you made. Thanks for the upload as I enjoyed the process and the result.
to be honest i had no idea what you were building till the very end haha
What kind of iron did you use ?
very nice design, but I'm curious: how heavy is it ?
I want one
reminds me of some earthing rods i used to forge some leaf stems once. i had thought the copper coating would just melt away but it got forged into the work, it really set it all off. i love it when these things happen.
Again, you wrought tools that are amazing 👍
very nice
How to copper plate without copper plating. Great video, I find the solution interesting and the results amazing.
Wow!
Incredible skill

Fantastic work, as always!! I'm picturing something like that, but round, 3'-4' in diameter as a fire bowl in the yard!
Yea, that would look cool too!
👍👍👍👍
I too have built my own flax break for harvests! So lovely to see you and your videos as always. Tussen takk
Wonderful! Thanks
I thought you were going to use blueing on it, that would look wild
The thought crossed my mind!
Veri good karigari and best machine
9:30 world's sharpest paper
Excellent work and video! God bless you and yours. Praying for you.
Very beautifull juob.
Maybe not so awful, as a piece of art. But...
I really enjoyed this video and the craftsmanship/ artistry involved in the creative pathway to thos remarkable piece!
Thank you!!
Thanks!!
Beautiful!!! I like this style!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂
What is that thing used for?
It's just a "decorative" design piece.
Thanks 👍
That ending !!! Great!
This might look really nice with a burnt beeswax finish and brass rivets!
I love the punched holes stretching the edges ! Gorgeous piece of work, thanks for showing it
Benneatth du spreading chestnut tree the village smythie stands. (Read from the back of a Pabst Blu Ribbon Can.)
I’d say to use smaller bites into the tall grass for a better easier cut and it actually goes faster than you might think because you are not putting so much energy into large bites of grass. I would buy one of your scythe blades if you have any for sale.
Nice setup! The only thing I would do different is make the stack hat operable from outside of the hood.
Thanks. Not a big deal, very simple, but sure it could have been nice.
What type of steel did you use to do this project
Just ordinary construction steel. Mild steel.
Oh id of thought you were going to punch an drift the eye Top vid mate 👌
UNUSUAL
Did you oil season it?
Yes.
OK, using the saw blade as an index is arguably the most innovative and ingenious improper usage ever devised.
😎 Thanks!
Wow…the pattern is unbelievably cool! Wow
this looks awful
Mycket snyggare än vad som utbildade konstnärer säljer!
